I agree that it is a cool gadget. I have the rear camera on my Honda Pilot. I am much more comfortable, however, relying on the PDC indicator and beeps, than trying to judge distance on the video screen. On the Honda, the camera uses a very wide angle lens to take in the far right and left views, but this misleads the driver into thinking there is more room to back up than is actually there.

You need to recalibrate your judgment when interpreting the picture, and it does not feel very reliable in indicating distance between you and the object behind the car.

That is a cool gadget, you can look at women walking past your car at the traffic light to the left and right of your car!

Early on, PDC did the same thing for me. My plan was to back up to the red area on the screen, set the brake, and see how far I was from the barrier. I went through the red area very quickly and whacked the barrier. Now I have a constant reminder in the form of a small blemish about the size of a pencil eraser in the coating on the rear bumper. <_< Only made that mistake once, though. Now I back off in yellow.

This was not out when they released the accessories book. Each camera is sold seperatly. My dealer didn't have a price forthe E60 Camera but the price on the E65 rear camera was about $1000.

No I don't think installation is included but I will check when I take my car there in a few days.

PS: There is only one dealership in Saudi Arabia Kingdom wide, therefore I think they are charging more.
