This is the pic from front cam showing side views. That's why it's call side view camera instead of front view camera.
Just installed it on my car today. ;)

Excuse me .. But where are they (cams) installed, in the M5 bumper ... ?
Do you have a pic ?
Thank you!

The usefulness of the front sideview camera is that before making right turn where the left side cannot be seen due to some obstruction, you can see car approaching and safely making right turn when traffic allow.

The drawback of this front cam is it does not tell you how close you're next to the curb. This front view camera is also offered by BMW in accessory brochure that someone posted sometime back. The package cost more than $1K, but this camera is only $200ish

Hi My530iI think there a problem in my ACM unit as when i placew the meter . there is a resistance of 17.6 OHMs where as when it is connected in the rear view theimage is clear.

Try to connect rear cam output to front/sideview cam input of ACM to see if you still have clear or blurred image. If it's still blur, it might be your ACM issue.

My both front sideview and rear cam are aftermarket - Eclipse FEC106 and Kenwood CCD-900, respectively. Both images are clear.

Is the front view camera got 2 outputs or a single output? i.e. are the two images merged on the camera itself or does the ACM merge the images into a split screen view.
