So surprised that there's so few m5, mtech, or m5tech front bumpers. Instead, they just throw a lip on there. Guess it's a cultural thing?

Possibly. I know in Japan when they modify they tend to avoid OEM stuff ( e.g. the mtech bumper )

Look at the date those pics were uploaded. And I'm guessing the mtech front isn't popular overseas.
