Craig, the Hankook Evo V12's were rated the #2 tire behind the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec in a rcecent major car magazine tire comparo.
They used PS2's as a baseline tire and both tires faired as good if not better than the PS2's in almost every aspect compared. Can't remember which mag...I'll have to sift through the car mags in my office.
Best part is they are cheap, cheap, cheap. Fronts are like $139, rears $194
I have the predecessor to the V12's, the S1...awesome tire.

Bottom line is that the PS2 ranked above all others for wet weather performance and were praised for their feel and ride quality. Significantly, however, the PS2s only ranked midpack for dry weather performance. The tire size tested 225/45-17 in a non-staggered set up. The test cars were two BMW 328i coupes.
Puzzlingly, C&D did NOT test the General Exclaim UHPs, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric, Sumitomo HTR Z III, and Fuzion ZRi, claiming "space and time constrains along with fluctuating prices". Hmmmm.
The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo ranked second overall. They were fourth in the autocross and their lap time beat the PS2. But it finished second on the skidpad and above-average in braking. The Hankook's wet weather performance was outlanding -- reeling in the best braking and grip above all other test tires except the PS2.
