have 09 aw nonsport 535i xdrive
considering forgestar f14's
dont like matte black as lose detail of the wheel from a far
want a little more pizzazz
thinking gunmetal over titanium - maybe somebody has helpful pics too
taking a poll and wondering what is best size and offset
enjoy the smooth ride over my vert in the summer and have stock 17 rims to use for snows - but would like a little better handling without losing comfort on the hwy
lastly any trade offs if I get staggered set up?

AW = Alpine White

White rolling on black is very common. Go for gunmetal or hyper-black

+1 I'm shopping for 20" F14 in either matte black or hyper-black.

Ive got a AW 535i. Since our e60's have a lot of room in those fenders I'm going for 20's with a staggered setup. I emailed forgestar and they said I can run a 20x9et18 front and 20x10.5et25 rears. Granted you have a xi model so I'd email them to see what would the right offsets be. Depending how bad the roads are where you live go with 18 or even 19's and the ride should still be comfortable.

thanks for response
agree that matte is overdone and seems a little flat -wanna maintain some dressed up look to it.
roads where I am suck
so going 18 0r 19 inches not sure yet
does staggered setup alter the ride vs same size all around?
prefer to stagger them so to get the more concave look in the back too

Staggered looks nicer on the e60 when you have the nice fat tire on the back. Since there is so much room under the rear fender IMO it would look odd with a skinny tire. If you go to 18's you shouldn't feel much of a change in ride quality and it would noticably change going with 19's. However it would look nicer rolling on some 19's. Tire choices and setup also play a big part in the ride quality.

Well white knight I've decided on my color, piano gloss black. Peter from forgestar sent me a link with photos of cars with their wheels. Take a look and hopefully you see what your lookin for. http://www.forgestar.com/blog/?s=E60&x=0&y=0
