While waiting new front and rear bumpers from the paintshop, I decided to fix the rubbing problem on the rear tyres this weekend. Maybe I wouldn't have got into it, but Eric insisted me to get it done .
So, running the 275/30 R20 on the 10" rear wheels has caused some heavy rubbing on dips and even when cornering heavily. My rear fenders have been rolled before, but they weren't rolled enough on the lower front section. That is where it rubbed.
This is how our project went through...
Eric being mr. Know-it-all...
This was actually a pretty exhausting task for that poor feeble guy haha!
Yes, it rubs ...
Eric already had a plan how to fix the issue.
Getting it done nice and easy. Sure the edge was heated with a heat gun at the same time and the lip of the arch edge was slightly bent at several different points.
Results in centimeters/millimeters.
Achievements on the lower section of the wheel arch.
And upper section.
Overall change.
Then the inner plastic fender was molded a bit with a heatgun. After that some protective mass was sprayed on the seam.

Sweet! I'm curious about getting my fenders rolled but was worried if the person doing the job would treat the plastic liner properly and seal them right. What "protective mass" did you use?
