My Ride: 2005 525i 6MT
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Greetings everybody,
i finally purchased an e60 after driving my e39 for a few years. so far i am very pleased with it, and cant seem to keep my eyes off of it..
After looking i foudnd this.. an 05 525i. i have always wanted a bmw with black interior, and a MT!
anyway before i post some pics, i have a few questions..
i need moar flush! - i was thinking of adding 5mm spacers to the rear of my style 138 wheels (these have a et 20 offset correct??) to give a slightly wider stance and to make the rear wheels slightly more flush to the fender.
will i even notice what a 5mm spacer will do to widen the stance? i dont want to kill bearings on the car by widening the stance but if i could push the wheels out a tiny bit, i think it would improve the look.
-should i jusst do 5 mm spacers all around?
-now i am in need of an m tech front bumper but i am not used to the e60 having the headlight washer.. and from what ive been told there are some sort of sensors in the front bumper of these cars? if im wrong please correct me. If this is true, will all the previous equipment fit into the new m bumper??
i would also like to pick your brains about the orion v2 install eventually. the DIY from umnitza looks difficult..
on to pics!
coming from a 97 e39, im still drooling over the interior in this thing!

love my bimmers...

thank for looking and for any advice you could advise in advance!

There are front sensors in the bumper if you have PDC (Park Distance Control) but the shot of your rear bumper doesn't show any sensors so the front is unlikely to have them. Also, not all E60s have headlight washers but they all have either the dummy plug or the pop-out door.

Really? i was under the impression 5mm spacers will set me up with a et15 offset, which would look somewhat aggressive.
if the wheels do in fact have an et 20 offset, would you still suggest a 10-15mm spacer just to get the wheel flush with the fender?
Thanks,
the wood trim is slowly growing on me. my e39 has awkward wood trim to compliment the brown interior! this wood grain, despite the pictures, is a really dark wood grain trim.
I put the windshield washers on and saw water come over the front of the hood of the car lol ill double check again, but is it possible to keep those with an M tec upgrade?
Thanks
