I am a few days away from owning a 2007 BMW 550i (manual 6 speed). What do you guys recommend for my first modification?
There are a lot of different tuning styles.

So think out first what you want and then yes - wheels.

Really do search and scroll this whole site and you'll know

this is ideal, but lets say he bought wheels that are 3 g's....then wants to lower it the correct way with coilovers then thats another 2 g's. After everything its over 5 grand. For some its just not possible to do all at once!

if you dont have M-tech already, then i will think front bumper first, it is cheaper and then you can take your time for wheels, since there are plenty of choices

if you already have M-tech, then go for wheels

or mini minor, LED license plate or interior

First performance mod should be the Sprintbooster.

First appearance mod should be the M Tech body kit.

Second appearance mod should be wheels. The 19 inch OEM wheels are nice. I like the Style 172 wheels, followed by 167s (M6 wheels) followed by 166s (M5 wheels).

I'd go with exterior mods, you already got enough power for a while. You will feel the need for more power in a few months, at that point you can get a sprint booster. My personal favorite rims are the 166 OEM rims, preferably powdercoated a dark color.
