I am a few days away from owning a 2007 BMW 550i (manual 6 speed). What do you guys recommend for my first modification?

As most here will probably agree - WHEELS. Everything exterior goes off the wheels chosen, at least IMHO - contact member myfootsmells or nerweezy

BTW, A big welcome to the forum, great choice with the 550. The wheels will be the first of many mods.

I think the answer to that question will depend on how much you want to spend on this new mod, and would you prefer styling mods or performance mods?

wheels could run you anywhere from the $2000 to $4000 range.
M-tech kits are also around 1500 unpainted to 2500 painted.
HID fogs, HID Angel Eyes, window tints, blacked out emblems and roundels...
All are good style mods, but again it depends on what you want to spend.

As for performance...
Sprint Booster, RPI scoop and filter, RPI exhaust, RPI tune...

My order would be wheels, coilovers or springs, SB, scoops, RPI exhaust or Quad conversion, splitter/diffuser if it's M-tech, black grills, roof/trunk spoilers, trunk finisher, HID AE's, M5 mirrors, Vorsteiner hood, LCI tail/head lights and you should be ready to go!

welcome, nice selection.

+1 on speaking with nerweezy.

I would say trunk and roof spoilers are essential. Followed by wheels (depending on what wheels you have now)
