..hello all... okay..let me get this out of the way... .

i know alot do not like chrome...and i really dont care this is based on my personal tast..i myself do not like tooo much chrome aswell..the term pimpish and ghetto come to mind when i see some wheels..but i ordered a set of rims with a black chrome finish almost a pewter in color with a polished lip similar to the pic attached..the place i ordered the rims were blown away with the finish and like it alot... i too was worried ad took achance of the rims looking ghetto or pimpish... but now i just cant wait to put them on..Finally have my rims....-500_sdmsl2_myrims.jpg the color is similar and the chrome isnt tooo mirror like..

well my set up is 20 in and 9.5 front and rear..the front lip is abit thinner than the rear and i have a step lip setup for durability and style.

my questions is ..will i have problems with rub?
..should i lower the car first before i put the wheels on or after?
.. dont want to loose too much ride quality, so eibach? sport? or pro?
..anyways... thanks in advance fo any suggestions or comments...will try to have updated pics of the actual rim..just need my camera from my bro...ericd

You should not have any issues with rubbing since you do not have the sport package. Definitely, wait to drop the car. Wheels first, then decide if you want to drop. And, what size tires? I say go with 285s in the rear and 245s in the front.

with a 9.5 in the front a 245 will start to strech a 245... for the front I would use a 255/30/20 and for the rear the same setup unless you want to make it look as though you have a "staggerd" setup in that case I would use a 275/30/20 for the rears..Since you have sports I would wait till the wheels are on and see how you like the drop.. Nice choice on wheels BTW

I agree, with going to 255s in the front with the wheels being 9.5 but wouldn't he have to roll his front fenders then?

I bought some barely used Breyton Spirit Replicas that I wasn't able to use. The wheel size and offset is not the problem but the tires. It came off of a 645i. The rears are fine, but the front tires rub the inner part strut/caliper. The tire size up fronts are 255/35/20 (20X9) and rears are 285/30/20 (20X10). I just sold it this afternoon to a guy with a 745i. I thought about keep them but I would have to change the front tires to 245/35/20.

Anyway no harm no foul, just got my money back.

Post some pics soon ericdbs

Actually, my friend has a 525 without the sports pkg and he put on 20" replica Hartge Classic 2s and it rubbed. I agree that you should put on the wheels before dropping it.

BTW, love those wheels. I haven't seen black chrome but I imagine it would look great!
