I am on the "call list" at Dinan to be informed of any performance parts as they become available for the 545. I was called today and they have released a new throttle body which can be ordered immediately. It is about $500USD and can be installed in an hour. Based on their testing it should provide an 8hp increase and 8 ftlbs of torque. I know its a small increase, but this is the first legitimate performance component I have seen.

It's about time! If you check out their website dinancars.com they have a free flow exhaust available for the 645ci, why not for the 545i yet? ![Wassat](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wassat.gif)
My point is the 325hp N62 4.4 V8 has been out since 9/2001 in the 745i and then 9/2003 in the 545i, what took'em so long to develop performance stuff?![Sleeping](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sleeping.gif)
I hope the performance gains are abundant!

I have been told by the Hamann distributor, that there is a concern of lowering the backpressure too much.
I am still holding off on the quad system as I think there should be a better way.

[/quote]Jim:You KNOW I will let you know! I have not been back out there since the time I went while you were at the road track.
I like the group buy idea, I am not sure about the installation component, however. I guess we could several and then we could them installed individually, I just don't know Dinan's policy on that. But I do like the idea.
