My Ride: E61 530i LCI

Hi all,
I think I've wrecked the light module on my E61 530i LCI (UKDM); I used Carly to code some daytime driving light changes and turn off the rear fog light warning (bulb prev replaced) and afterwards randomly lost my left front low beam headlight.
Scan of codes shows 009CA8 (Internal error LM) but this was present on an earlier diagnostic scan pre coding.
I wonder if I may have had a faulty LM to begin with (hence rear fog out) and coding caused further faults...does this sound plausible?
Any advice on the way forward much appreciated... I've heard used LM2 modules only work 50% of time. Is a new LM a better idea?
Many thanks 🙏
