Default Faded Roundels

Welp, I am now the proud owner of some faded black/carbon roundels. Anyone else experience this after having their roundels on for about 2 years?

Any brand that doesn't fade?

I want to get these same ones but I have the same feeling that they just don't last. I was looking to buy a 545 that had them all faded. Once I seen them, on that car now I have reservations on getting them

My carbon fiber-look wheel roundels look like they are in a clear epoxy that would last forever. BUT, they are on a plastic mount backing whose tabs break off. So they look GREAT but don't stay fastened on the wheek :-(

I am working on my second set in a year. California sun kills em. I haven't found a brand that is any better yet.

I've kept some of my BMWs garaged --- others not (when I become wealthier I'll have a 6 car garage so I don't have to keep my RR Corniche out in the weather). it's been my experience that the old style roundels were not so durable ... then new style were more durable ... and now the newest modern super duper roundels are again not so durable again.

It's abrasion (automatic car washes don't help) and sand blasting that first wears away the surface coating - then the fading starts. That said, the roundels on my '98 Z3 are still pretty nice - but it is only driven on nice sunny dry days!

Parking garage living in the city. Sometimes I park on the roof and the car will sit for 3 days.
