hey guys!

i have a 525d se on a 54 plate and am trying to put sport interior in from a 57 plate. has anybody attempted or done this before?? ive got all the plugs from the 57 plate wiring loom and connected them to my exsisting wiring but no joy. when u connect the car to a laptop to fault find it doesnt recognise it. does it need programming or is there a way to bypass the wiring some how?????

Sorry I don't understand the "plate" language. What month/year model you have and from what month/year model is the interior from?

Ok, so you have two problems here:
- Going from half electric to full electric may require some new wiring and coding. I'm not sure about this, others will chime in I'm sure.
- The electrics in overall changed in 09/2005. I don't know what this means when it comes to seats, but for example changing a steering wheel from pre-09/2005 car to a post-09/2005 car needs some extra work.

Yes, because the wiring may have changed. It can also be that full electric seat modules may need to be programmed into the car. Two separare problems, like I said.
