extrior chrome trim

hey guys i have a black 525i and i cant stand the chrome trim on side of my car, i wanna make it all black and ive already chanded the front grill. I was thinking about getting it painted black. But my concern is how well does paint really stay on chrome? any feedback would be great . thanks

search "shadowtrim" just had it done as well.
