My Ride: Stock '08 550i with the M5 aerodynamic OEM package
Default

Wife primarily drives the baby around in the new '08 550i so I don't want to get some loud exhaust with resonance that I have on my other toys What quad exhaust system would you recommend for being one of the "softest" or more likely put - one that she won't try and cut my nuts off with. I was thinking of going with Remus because it sounded rather soft and an easy install that would match with one of eurorev's diffusers but they are out of stock until mid/late August unless I want to pay $1000 for the exhaust and then another $200 for air freight which they couldn't give me an estimated time as they had to wait for enough orders for air freight so it might be August anyways

Is there another brand that would fit my needs OR another place that sells Remus?

Many thanks in advance

I think remus is the deal. i've been looking at it, but haven't pulled the trigger yet and didn't know they were in such demand. Isn't it normally $900? if so, the extra $100 isn't bad, and tell them to ship it slow-boat-to-china to see what you can save on shipping.

Eisenmann Sport, but it's gonna cost you.

i have the remus quad on my 550 with the hamann diffuser..

It's perfect if you are looking for zero drone, and just a great note when you get on it. It sounds stock on the hwy and at slow speeds (normal driving), but when you take off and drive the rpm at 3k or higher it sings.

if i'm going to get a new diffuser and the mirrors, I can't justify spending the extra for the Eisenmann. I've already purchased new 167's in the bigger size and new Michellins all the way around so it's already getting up there. Not to mention the $1300 I dropped at the local dealer on everyday supplies

Thanks Guys

Is there essentially one Remus quad exhaust set up for the 5 series?

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...st&p=578737

I am also assuming that the right tips are functional?
