Finally, I was able to produce some exhaust sound clip of the exhaust sound during different engine load (driving). The stationary sound clips are fine, but for practical purposes, we driving more than we rev the engine while stationary.
This video clip is the undercarriage (no sound)
Undercarriage_545i.mpg
I try to make the other clips as small as possible, but it would not fit under 10 mb. So below is the link to an external site where you can download each video clip. If you're into exhaust note, you'll be interested in the 2 clips below.
Exhaust Comparison
Follow the direction on the web page.
Personally, the Stuffed Muffler clip (2nd one) is none to borderline droning but very tolerable. The straight through will drive you crazy after a week when all the excitement dies down.
Remus claims no droning with their quad system. Can someone post a similar video. I'd like to judge it myself. That goes the same for anyone that claims straight through aftermarket performance exhaust don't drone at all.

[b]That straight thru is pretty much unbearable. My quads with twin Remus 4' cans and X-Pipe sound nothing like that. Definite drone from 1500-2200 RPM's but "ghastly Teutonic" after. F1 sounding all the way.

I think it sounds good Quy! There is no V-8 BMW engine with a custom exhaust that doesn't have "some droning".

You mean the default warning message about using iDrive and driving?
???
We don't have it here
Do you have a message like "Don't watch me while you are driving" ?
Ahaha!

My E63 sounds just like the the "Straight Through.mpg" vid. At 1500 rpm under load it drives me insane. I'm heading to the muffler shop in a few minutes to discuss bullet resonators as a potential solution to the drone problem. I wen to the shop last Saturday but the guy wasn't there.

Here is a perfect solution for quads.
Leave the stock muffler.
T-Off before the stock muffler and add an electric cut-off.
From the cut-off run a pipe to the other side and add your muffler (or not) of choice.
Chance the tips on the stock exhaust to match the new tips on the other side.
Now you have BOTH a quiet car when you don't want to wake the neighborhood and a loud car to feed your testosterone. Also adjusting the cut-off (on the fly) will allow you to make it sound almost any way you want.
When/If I ever go quads this is what I will do.
