Ummh. Is it time to make a poll on who
A. Opened their flap/valve on the second pipe, and likes it.
B. Opened but decided closed is better, for whatever reason.
C. Leave it alone, BMW knows what their doing.

Leave comments also on performance and sound difference (before and after)

Thanks realtyman for starting this thread.

Don't forget to add...

D. Cut the stock muffler(s) off and installed aftermarket.
E. Cut the stock muffler(s) off, installed aftermarket and wished they saved the $1000 bucks an tried pushing in the valve first.

realityman, if my car was not leased, I would spend the $1000.00 on an aftermarket. The valve push is OK, but your setup is the way to go!

Cool

so you need to add,

F. Those who pushed the valve, like it, but still are going to spend $1000.00 for aftermarket.

G. Those who pushed the valve, like it, but would still spend $1000.00 for aftermarket, but are not going to because they are leasing.

H. Lease the car, spend the grand anyway, save the stock muffler, spend a few hundred to put the stock muffler back on when the lease is up, drive away in a new M5, wonder if it needs an aftermarket exhaust, look for valve...

Replaced safety wire with 2-1/8" hook and eye turnbuckle and 1-3/4" S-Hook from local hardware store. Safety wired for added security.
