Are there any exhaust options for a 2006 550I? Will a magnaflow muffler improve performance any?

RPI muffler is the best. Sounds great and hp gain. Contact Nerweey at Trinity Autosport.

there aren't really any exhaust systems out there that will give you much of a noticable gain in performance, most of us just buy for sound. That being said RPI exhaust has some proven gains and many on here like it, I myself have a B&B exhaust I love it in terms of sound but not much there for gains. Magnaflow is your budget option ok sound no real gain.

RPI is really the only one that has gains for that engine

the rest either lose by a lot of by a little and either way why buy something that decreases performance

I think there isn't any loss with the Magnaflow. I had them and the power is still there. No dyno, just butt dyno. You really lose power when you go quads. I feel a big loss in power with my quads but the sound makes up for it.

its an axle back exhaust, not a full exhaust that goes to the xpipe or headers

not for his car anyway, if you have a 535 or m5 then they have complete exhausts.
