My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i Jet Black Sports Package Billy Boat Exhaust
Default

Any potential loss of warranty coverage by changing the stock exhaust? I want to replace the stock exhaust on my 545 to a Billy Boat exhaust?

Thanks

Keep the stock exhaust in your garage in case you will break the gearbox or something else that need an inspection by a BMW inspector .

Don't sweat it. When I had my 545i with RDSport quad exhaust and took it to the dealership for servicing, they didn't even bat an eye.

Just curious as to why you have different rims on each side of your car.

I probably wouldnt worry, unless you are taking out the cats. The stock has to be cut out anyways, so even if you welded it back on, it would be obvious that it had been taken off at some point.

+1. first time i went there after installing an aftermarket exhaust, my SA started the car and said "you changed the exhaust. sounds good." no loss in warranty.
