Hey..

I have a question... Kinda of sad that I still dont know this.

Why is it that certain exhausts are made for a 525i versus others that are made for a 550i

What is the actual difference in the exhaust and what would happen if you used one from another model???

thanks..

Real rookie sounding question,..

You will find that you can only use the left canisters of the M5 exhaust.

I was first thinking I could do her quad exhausts form the ///M5 but after looking at it from underside I see that its just impossible without major changes, so I think ill just stick one of the double exhausts from the ///M5. It still should change the sound and aesthetic look as the ///M5 pipes are huge

I have a 550i and I am having a Meisterschaft exhaust being put on ...go to GT Haus to find ur Exhaust. They are the best at BMW exhaust and come highly recommended. You should call them and find out, I was going to go with a cheaper version and found out from alot of people that would only do damage to the vehicle.

Don't do it. It may end up sound a bit better, but you will likely end up losing HP and torque. Pipe is too big. The smaller motors need a narrower pipe to provide sufficient back pressure. Not all back pressure is bad.

Meisterschaft makes great sounding exhausts but I believe you might loose HP if you go that route. It might be a good idea to dyno your car to get an accurate account. GL

p.s. Eissenmann produces greater HP @ 0 loss compared to MEisterschaft.

The 525 and 550 have different pipe connections so the exhausts have to be made specifically for those cars.

One option for your car is the Remus Muffler which is a direct fit for the 525.

hmm. where are you getting this loosing power info from?
I have it on my M6 and gained 9HP on a 4 wheel mustang dyno. wierd.
and the sound is just incredible.
Meisterschaft is the best sounding and performing exhaust I have ever experienced.
