Hi everyone. I just revived my e39 MY97 528i (220k plus miles). New head and valve job and whole cooling system redo.

I am hoping to get a custom exhaust. Here are some really sweet sounding clips. I hope to get similar sound from the exhaust I get. Also if the company does the e39 good, I'll turn them loose on the e60: Listen and enjoy with your favorite Beverage.

540 e39 Remus without resonators

Magnaflow muffler with Dynomax resonator

Custome cat back job remove resonator and add a sprt box at the back

Eisemann sport with catback

These are some samples. I like the sound of them all. Question though. Can you have just a magnaflow muffler and a resonator?

Can you just custom install a system for under 500.00?

Your thoughts.

dennis, yes you could go with magnaflow muffler and a resonator with the piping. you could even go with just the magnaflow with piping in place of the resonator. and for the price, im sure you could get a custom job for under $500. before, when steven had custom magnaflow quads with the stock bumper cut-out, i believe i remember him saying that he had the whole thing done for $400.

Dennis, talk to Ronny on your exhaust options. Also, contact AAA (down the street from EuroRev). They have worked on numerous members cars (i.e. Vegastrashed, SoCalM5Mang and Steven's cars). They will help you choose the sound you desire

Great, thanks. I will do that. Hope to get my car back from EuroRev tomorrow or next day.
