Exactly what does the MTech Kit replace?

I'm slightly confused with what the replacement part actually replaces and how far it comes up on the rear bumber. I have a blemish (small pole only 2 feet high so I couldn't see it while reversing!) that is on the top portion of the bumber, right below the trunk lid and I want to have it fixed. I am also interested in getting the Mtech kit. If the Mtech kit doesn't come up that far, I will have to repaint and if it does I won't. I'm not sure. Does anyone actually know?

I have included pictures with the sections that I'm referring to.

I'm asking if the Mkit is the area that is circled in yellow, or if it is just in the red.
