In the March issue of Eurotuner, they installed aFe intakes and aFe Mach Force XP cat-back exhaust on their project M3. They had aFe do the before and after dynos. The article says that they normally test parts individually but aFe wanted them to do both at once.

Here's an excerpt from the article after the post dynos:

"Unfortunately, after five or six runs, we weren't seeing any gains from the new parts. In fact, we were struggling to find the stock output. It was decided that a few miles on the ECU would help it recalibrate to the improved airflow.

We returned to aFe's dyno several weeks later and, as the graphs shows, we still couldn't find the promised horsepower increase. The aFe personnel were clearly disappointed and suggested a problem with the dyno was a possible cause."

I tried to find the article on their website but it's not yet listed. This is part 5 of their build and they only have parts 1-4 on their site: http://www.eurotuner.com/sch/02/proj...les/index.html

BTW, aFe's site says their stage 2 cold air intake "...produces 18 max horsepower, 15lbs. x ft. torque.." and their exhaust "...produces 13 horsepower and 16lbs. x ft. of torque.."

Oh, it looks like in part 6, they're going to swap out the aFe stuff and try some Gruppe M or BMW Performance products.

Can someone provide a scan of the article in question? Very interested in this.

Although not a big surprise in regards to the results.

Possibly compared with a car that had a new/clean OEM air filter? They can become restrictive in a couple thousand miles.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. The aFe intakes came with their brand new filters. They actually tested both the Pro Dry S and Pro 5R filters with no measureable difference.

Just got their latest issue yesterday with Part 6 and they tested Gruppe M intakes and titanium exhaust. Should I post the results here or on a new thread? haha
