"kigerka"

Would you mind if i took you up on that offer? I just got word back from my euro car converter here that BMW of A is NOT allowing him to order euro parts anymore :-( - and my DE travel has been pushed back for at least another 3 months from now.

let me know either way, please

I got my mirrors yesterday. I will be putting them in tonight. I will hopefully post pics of the removal and install incase anyone wants to swap out mirrors or replace them.

So, I got them installed and took some pictures. It was a very simple installation. Thanks to Hobi for the TIS info and a tip to use a hairdryer I was able to take them off without damaging the clips. It was stressed on the info to remove at room temp to not damage the clips. I used the hairdryer to heat the back of teh mirror up and used a piece of metal to gently unclip teh mirror with out damaging the clips. Success. So here are the pics. My mirrors are autodimming electrochrome heated mirrors.

When I did mine, I had no information from TIS nor tips from Hobi. So, I based upon my previous experience from working on my Volvo. I used my fingers to grep the lower left corner of the driver side mirror and then pulled it out slowly and gentlely in order not to break the clips.

I just borrowed a digital camera, I will take some pictures of the mirror (driver side only), mud flap and the chrome grill. This weekend, I will replace the steering wheel trims with the silver one and take some pictures of the installation. Hopefully, the airbig warning light will not be on .....

Congrats Kris! Brilliant job!

Do the cars in the US NOT have the folding function then? Is it on the options list?

All the Best
