Euro Overlays for front Headlights install w/pics by AKAlius
#1
I was getting tired of seeing the orange reflector on the front headlights. Its an eyesore to me. It's either I pay $1000 per headlight (08 adaptive) from Newport or go the Euro route sticker application. I didn't even realize it, but the well known AKAlius on e60 lives 3-5 minutes from me. We met up and wanted to provide you guys with an install step by step by AKAlius himself. He's a very helpful person just like you read about on the forums. Thanks AKAlius for the headlight transformation. It made a HUGE difference. Now i need to change out the orange bulbs. Any recommendations anyone?
Apply in Shaded area
Step 1 - Use Rubbing Alcohol to remove any wax and other debris on Orange reflector area. This is most important step as you dont want something caught in between!
Step 2 - Prepare Credit Card or License as it will be used to flatten and remove air bubbles.
Step 3 - Apply water and peel away sticker. Align Sticker properly
Step 3 - Stick one side and horizontally stick to the ending side.
Step 4 - Use License card and clear of any bubbles.
Step 5 - Leave sticker as is for 2 hrs minimum. After 2 hrs (more time the better), peel away the overlay. You are finished!
Pictures attached and this install steps were asked during the process. Hopefully AKAlius can add/suggest to this post.
