A top-notch job like this will run about $2500-$3000 including system, custom brackets, misc. parts and labor.

Things hidden in this install:

- GPS receiver, main control unit and speaker are mounted under the instrument cluster shroud below the windshield.
- USB port (for speed trap/camera updates) and Kill-switch are mounted under dashboard.

A few updated photos. The front radar head was actually upside down in the first batch.

Mine is upside down and hidden out of view next to the driver's side fog light (behind the plastic cover on the front air dam). Picks up very well. As long as it's horizontal, it doesn't matter if it's upside down (according to Escort).

Hey geekmedic. I've read some of your posts/replies on radardetector.net. That site is a great resource. I'm surprised to hear you say "according to Escort." The installation guide clearly states otherwise with regards to head placement.

Page 6 of the Installation Manual reads,
"For best radar performance install the Radar Receiver with the label facing up and the arrow pointing forward, and provide a clear "view" of the road."

Page 4 of the Installation Manual reads,
"Performance Warning: To get the best performance possible, the mounting location of the radar receiver is critical. Although radar signals will pass through some types of plastic, mounting the
radar receiver so that it has a clear “view” of the road will ensure maximum warning."

Anyhow, it may perform well in your scenario, but based on my research it will do better oriented correctly and even better without any obstruction.
