Just installed Enkei LXM 402 wheels on my 2004 525I
with Nitto tires 245/40/18

Vibrations in the seats comes at 65 mph which
probably indicates rear wheel issues.

Wheels have been balanced 3 times with slight improvement
after each attempt.

Next move is to repalce the Nitto tires with Bridgestones 750
which is a much better touring tire.

Wheels are hub centric with my car (bolt diametter for each are the same)

The wheels are beautiful on this car and the price was great
less than $1800 for the total package.

Any Advice?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought hub centric means that the center bore of the wheel fits perfectly tight around the car's hub. I don't believe it has anything to do with bolt diameter. Many wheels can have 5x120mm bolt patterns that would fit our car but that doesn't mean they're hub centric.

When I got 20s for my Acura MDX, the car also vibrated at 65mph+ so I had the wheels rebalanced. When that didn't help, they installed hub centric rings and the problem was fixed.

Yep hub centric rings are the problem I too had the same vibs and they cured it you're probly onlt 1 or 2 mm out the variation you are getting at each balance is because the wheel is fitted differently each time its bolted on

Unhappy

Yeah, you are correct.

Just found out from several sources that the Enkei wheel bore dia. is 74.15mm
and the 525I bore diameter is actually 72.56mm.

This very small difference can cause a vibration problem.

I am having hub centric rings installed with the new tires
next week. They have rings for this standard fit (74.15x72.56)
from the place the wheels were purchased.

I was misinformed that these wheels were 100% hub centric.

I will post next week the outcome and pictures of these wheels on my car.

They really do look great!

Just had the same problem with some repilca ACS IV's....shop couldnt get rid ogf the vibes on the rear set. I noticed they came with plastic spigot rings. What did you change to get rid of the vibes on yours.
