Hey guys,

I really need your help!

Without thinking, I closed the trunk lid after disconnecting my battery. I have an M5 trunk finisher covering the key hole. Now, I can't open the trunk.

Other than risking the chance of damaging the trunk finisher, what other ways can I open the trunk lid???

Please reply upon receipt of this message. I am stranded!

Thank you in advance for any help!!!

Daniel

Maybe you can try to get into the trunk by the inside of the car and connect your battery !

Connect a battery (use jumper cables or a battery tender) to the under-hood charging post and then open the trunk using the fob or trunk lid push button under the dash.

Yeah 100% this. I had my car die and I freaked out trying to get the trunk open. I was literally trying to rip the trunk finisher off and damaged it. I didn't realize there was a jumper under the hood at the time and I had the car towed to my house. During the tow, the battery cable reconnected. Apparently the battery cable wasn't tied down enough and came lose when my car died.
