hi guys,
i have a BMW E60 525I with M Suspension. 3 years ago i bought H&R springs because i wanted to lower my car. after two years i realized that the rear of my car is very lowered. everyone told me that i should change the rear Shock absorber. i did that and installed new original M rear Shock absorber with the old H&R 35mm lover than M springs.
i did the measure before and after. nothing has changed
i think i should change the springs now. witch springs should i get? H&R again or Eibach? I think Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Spring lower the car with 2.5 and H&R with 3.5.
the problem is that on my car u can see big difference between front and rear. the rear is more lower than front
i will be happy with any help
thanks

Maybe you should go with the Eibach? I personally have not installed these springs on my E60, but I did on previous cars and loved the ride. Also, other members say that the Eibach will give a slight "rake" look where the front is lower than the rear. This might be just what you are looking for.

In my personal opinion, I think you should get coilovers. My preference is KW V2. Your car will handle better, feel more secure, and you can adjust the height or dampening when ever you like. I went with H&R lowering springs first. I loved the stance, but a little too bouncy. Coilovers will be one of the best investments you can make on on your car.

@ Kaizen -u right maybe i should just go with Eibach
@ wtlb - i cant instal KW V2 on my car because of the roads we have here(bad roads). it will be too rigid
maybe someone on this forum have some pics with his car with Eibach springs instaled on E60.
thanks alot guys

brock, how would you compare the H&Rs to the stock 550i springs in terms of ride quality? stiffer? no difference?

Hello!

My car came with -50mm H&R springs and although the ride felt good and fine, I couldn't get up my drive at home and scraped on a lot of speed humps.
Rather than going back to standard M-Sport suspension I have now fitted -30mm Eibach springs and they are a little firmer (maybe the H&Rs were really old) but I no longer have issues getting on to my drive.
