I noticed on Tire Rack they are listing Eibach Pro-Kit & H&R Sport/Race kits for 530xi's. But on the official Eibach & H&R website, there doesn't seem to be a 530xi application. So just wondering if anyone has actually installed a set yet.

I want to lower my 530xi, but am sitting on the fence because there doesn't seem to be too many people who have lowered their xi's. Also the fact that the 530xi is not listed on Eibach or H&R's websites.

I called and talk to both Eibach & H&R rep. but they don't have any application for the xi due to no demand, same as you I'm hoping to do the same for my soon to arrive 525xi (my guess 525 & 530 should have similar weight if not identical).

OTH, Hamann website seems to have p/n listed for MY06 but US distributor not sure if it'll work on mine, I don't think there's any diff. as your car uses N52 engine too, right?

I like to use Eibach over H&R as the car strictly for daily street use and I had good experienced using it on E36 before, as far as Hamann price maybe higher and I also saw another member here said that H&R maybe gettin' ready to release a set for us xi owner.

Gents - Take a look at the posts I wrote about regarding this very topic. I have been speaking to Josh Scott at H&R for about 5 months now. The xi springs are in production and should be out soon. If you want lowering springs ASAP, the only company that sells/makes them for our car is Hamann. Check out their site. Part number and all is right there. HOWEVER, Hamann is asking $899 for these springs and it takes about 6 weeks to get them. This is absolutely nuts for springs and springs only. But if you want them, you can get them from two places. You can call Will at WheelPower in Huntington Beach, CA or you can call BavAuto. Will gave me the best price. I believe he quoted me $849, including shipping. However, he is now working with me and H&R to get me the first set of xi springs, once they are released.

H&R will be selling the xi springs for about $369, which is more in line with what I'm willing to pay for springs.

And trust me, the second H&R releases these springs to market, I will be posting that announcement immediately.

Yeh, I had read your posts regarding the H&R release. The thread kinda died off, so I wasn't too sure if it was out yet or not. I go onto Tire Rack, and see that magically there are springs for the 525/530xi listed.

Definitely keep us up to date with the H&R springs, I'll jump into the boat right after you

Do not buy these off TireRack. They are incorrect. I asked Josh about this and he said that TireRack should not have these listed, since they haven't put them into production yet, so it must be a mistake on their part. If you order these, they will end up being the 530i springs and could cause serious damage to our cars. Josh said he was going to have his assistant look into it with TR, but I guess he never followed up.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Yes you got it, I emailed Gary Stanley of Tire Rack and on his reply he confirmed of no suspension components for this vehicle yet, he wasn't sure why their website included such result when we do the search so must be their IT people problem or somethin'.

You bet. Keep in mind you can still order the Hamann springs if price is of no concern and you want to lower the car now and don't want to wait...

Like you, I'm not willing to throw down $900+ for just springs.
