My Ride: 2008 535i Options: Sports Pkg/ Premium Pkg/ Navigation/ USB(iPod) Mods: Tint (lolololol) any ideas? I LOVE THIS CAR!!! (WAAAAAYYYYY better than my previous MB E350, but quite a bit more expensive :( )

Hey guys....I want to buy a JB chip for my 2008 535i and wanted to have a DIY installation, so I took so long looking for the damn ECU. I might have seen it, but since I am a relative noob to modding I might not have noticed it. The installation should be relatively self-explanatory am I right???

Another question about the JB chips.....what is this whole thing about the car going into this limp mode bs.....I don't want to waste money if its gonna eff up my car.....

Limp codes tend to happen when the turbos get too hot..

most members that go into limp mode with the jb3 end up doing so from too many pulls/overheating the turbos

members jcool10181 and dbae1978 have been running jb3's for awhile on their 535i's...I'm sure they won't mind a pm if you have any q's
