Has anyone attempted a gauge cluster swap from the E70 X5/E71 X6?

They look like the same dimensions, exact same body/shape and all the features are in the right place. Would need coding of course but just trying to see if there is something hidden I've missed.

same tacho/rev limit as the 6cyl cars

 

As long as the replacement has less miles you're good.

 

Unsure on the Kms on the cluster.

You know that the E70s are a direct plug n play? Im not missing anything and they are the same?

 

so it fits but it won’t read fuel level if you tackled this let me know!
