E60 will not start! Please help!!
2006 bmw 525i.
Went to 7/11 to get some cigarettes with the wife and the car did not start. Heard a low humming sound in the engine bay but not even a click. Thought maybe it was the battery, I tried jump start it but it didn't work. So naturally I thought of the starter giving out. Thinking to not be rash and guess the problem. I plugged in an obd code reader and it gave me two codes (p1056 and u110f) I researched and it was "VVT supply voltage control motor low input (bank 1)", with the added "lost communication with torque request".
Im trying to pin point the problem, could someone please help me translate it into layman terms? I just have the jist of the problem, that it might be the fuse and/or relay to the vvt motor. Im fairly new to the electronics side of cars. Would love some help before I go away for 6 weeks for my job. All I need is the parts number and I can work my way from there.
Thank you.
