I just took delivery of a new '08 E60, and to make my tool box complete I need a OEM emergency warning triangle. Where can I purchase one - US or Europe? All I need is a part number and source. Appreciate all your constructive help. Thanks!

You should know the one the sell at BMW dealers here DO NOT fit in the storage area where your tools are. The slot there will only take the German style warning triangle which is smaller than the one they carry at the dealers in the US.

Bavarian Autosport has the German one. The part number is 43999904 and it's listed for $39.95 and comes with a full first aid kit.

Just to be safe, call them to make sure it'll fit.

Is it common for U.S. bimmers to NOT come with the Triangle? I've owned 2 now and neither has come with one.... I've always wondered about that....

Usual story I suppose - it's what they can get away with not fitting!!

In the UK, there is no legal requirement for either first aid kit or triangle, but we get them both as standard!!

Fusion--

I happened to have to make a business trip to the Netherlands recently and took to opportunity to visit a Dutch BMW dealership as I wanted the same thing... OEM EU triangle. It took a bit to convey what I was after (as I don't speak Dutch), but I got it. Here's the invoice (for the EU part number) and pix of it in my car. Oh... i had it in my carry-on baggage, so that took some explaining!
