Wow, that looks real good, but are you going to switch back to the stock 124s come spring time?

The 04/05 OEM wheels are great, IMO.? I cannot stand most after-market wheels.? They all look like they belong on a suped up Honda Civic with a big ole wing and a Flowmaster.? Just my opinion and I know lots of you love those after market wheels.

I TOTALLY understand what you're saying. The last thing I want to do is set my E60 up with the look of a 19 year old's "bling-bling" Integra.

I still think that the only OEM wheel that is acceptable is the 545 sport package wheel. I'm getting a 530 and all wheel options IMO are horrible.

Spartacus_33 -

Perhaps you'd be interested in buying my OEM 545i sport tires & rims when I get the car - they should have less than 20 miles on them!

Cheers,

I am going with the SSR GT3's.? 19x8.5's up front and 19x10's in the rear with Bridgestone S03's.

I hope to have the car in the next 3 weeks and will post pictures.

Cheers,

Are you going with the Satin or Bright Silver?
The PIAAs also come in a "Hyper Black" that isn't really black.... just kind of "dusty" looking like the 2000 M5 wheels.
I still have not seen the GT3s in person or on an E60...... please DO post your pics when mounted.

Bokke,

As with everything, my man........ it all depends on price.
Actually... those are still only 18s and I'd like to at least go with 19s. I just don't understand what BMW was/is thinking with their new OEM wheels. Have you seen what they're putting on the 6 series? Come on..........

Spartacus_33 -, The PIAAS with the black satin finsih will look awesome in 19's. I did too wanted to go to 20's but the problem was the diameter of the wheel could not be attained due to the larger wheel so the car would ride a bit higher, affect your spedometer and may affect your handling. 19's is a sure bet as it is approved by BMW (see inside of your inside door jam)

Don Juan,

My only concern is that the PIAA wheels have no allowance for whatever is required to read the low tire pressure. I'm not sure if the dealer can disable this feature or not.

Most wheel manufactures now show whether a wheel can accomodate the low tire pressure "idiot light" that comes with some cars... as it does with the E60 Sport Package.

Anyone have any information about disabling this "feature"?

The BMW setup does not contain ANYTHING inside the wheel. It is just calculated by an exterior sensor based on the rotation of the tire. YOU DON"T NEED TO DISADLE IT, YOU JUST NEED TO RE_SET IT when the new wheel are installed. I have Hartge wheels and I did the same thing and it runs fine....

Is this done via the I-drive (by you) or by the Dealer?
BTW......I really like your wheels too.
