Hi, First, I'm new to this group and I want to introduce myself. I got my 04 E60 a few months ago and needless to say I am very happy with it. Second I have a question. I'm just now realizing that I am not receiving the RDS (Channel, Song Info etc.). Anyone know why this is, or how to fix it? (BTW- I have the Logic7 system if that helps...)

Sorry, I just realized this probably wasn't the right forum section. Won't happen again...

I have the same problem. I own a 545i.
- two weeks ago, I took my car for recall and alarm fix.
- after a week, the dealer fixed the problem.
- got home, noticed that there was a small crack on the windshield and the navigation and radio systems resetted itself.
- went back to the dealer to fix the radio and the navigation systems, and the windshield.
- the dealer replaced the radio and the navigation systems (the dealer called it the CIP) and the windshield. He told me that the car have the latest software now.
- I had to pay for the windshield ~$700
- after another week, I got the car back. Now, I noticed that I don't even have a station name display. Only the station frequencies show on the radio display.
- called the dealer and talked to the mechanic and he didn't even know what I was talking about.
I don't know what to do now. I have been reading some other posts. It looked like a few other people have the same problem as well.

RDS never worked well with Nav so BMW disabled it in software sometime after CIP version 12.2. That's pretty much the story as I remember it.
Maybe it'll return in a future version of software, maybe it won't...
