The trim around the fogs is pretty weathered and would like to either spray it or just replace it.
This is the way according to BMW: http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/s/view.pl?1/10/17/13

Is there any other easier way?
I am just afraid the trim will scratch the bumper paint since there is no room for clearance. Looks like a really tight fit.
Perhaps from underneath is safer (the way you replace the fog bulbs: http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/s/view.pl?1/10/17/40)?

I would never say getting underneath a car is safer, but in this case it would be better since you will see how the trim comes out instead of blindly prying from the front.

i have no input on how to get the fog light trim out but if you go to ecstuning.com and search the bmw part number, I believe they're the cheapest place to order that part from.

The car would be on a ramp for that, there's very little space otherwise.
