Got them installed, and they look AWESOME!

Problem is, however, the ballasts on the v4 are MUCH bigger. There IS NO ROOM FOR THE BALLAST IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY.

So as of now, I am running w/o dustcover (I know, lame!) .


I went by my shop today, and we are going to modify the dust cover to pass the wire to the connector, and mount he ballasts outside the headlight.

As far as I can tell, I would be one of, if not the first, to do this on the e60 LCI (with ADaptive). I saw some stuff on the1/3 series boards with solutions, but the headlight assemblies are much different. There is NO WAY to get the ballasts into an e60 w/o modification. I will update this post next week when we get done.

I have a 09 E60 550I and I installed the same setup and I can tell you that they fit however, it is extremely tight.

Looks good. Too blue for me but they are adjustable right?

 

They are. The blue is a little much, I'm thinking 8k or 10k would be much nicer. I will have them adjusted when we do the final install next week.

 

Post pics if you could in the day. These are on my list.

 

sorry i have to ask a dumb question.. these are for lci xenon only.. so these will not fit lci halogens, correct?
