So I made progress regarding this. But something is amiss here.

I hooked up my iPad with Spotify and viola all the details are there..

However I have an Android phone.. Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. And hooked that up, used plenty of apps, Spotify, and a few others.. nothing just unknown or various.

Then I went further and searched if it is a Bluetooth issue on Android Phones or devices.
And going to developer mode toggled a few things, in the link provided below and I got the track and all the other details to parse through to the screen

But here is the twist, all these details pop up on my X5 E70 LCI, with my phone connected.

The software is upto date on both combox and the CIC.

It just does not like my Android Phones Bluetooth. So after the details popped up, I cycled the ignition on and off, and boom its all gone again.

Where would I be looking within TRC files? In the combox or CIC?
Any input appreciated, even if you guys dont have a clue.

I will update this with every update I do.

But if you guys know anything, what will be causing this, I am stumped.

My X5 has CIC and Combox too. Connect to it with no issue at all, and all the track titles show

Just for anyone who encounters the same issue..

None of the Android device work.. meaning that the track info Album and Artist are Unknown, Various or Bluetooth.

The Media Combox, which was removed from a 2013 Donor car, i was able to retrieve the Track title etc.. but when I cycled the ignition on and off.. I lost the track title etc again.

Once again this is displayed perfectly in my X5 E70. Both android and iOs. But here with this combox only iOS connected Devices, will show the track title, album and artist.

This ultimately means the software or Firmware will require updating on the COMBOX.
However because an .ssd file was used, I am not sure how this can be achieved, to update the Firmware, most likely using an E90 Daten files.

Any ideas will be fantastic

Update using usb flash, cant upload file here, look for latest file UPD001008 or drop you emeil to pm i will send it for you.

I uploaded it to mega.nz, because email always gives error.
update easy, extrakt file to usb flash, put it in your armrest, on cic go to settings, schroll down you will see software under it you will choose update. Dont worry, my combox is from e70 2012 us specs to. Its ok. Its not like update module software its just update compatible phones list and somethink more.

Would like to take this opportunity and thank you @Bmwpower530 for providing the upto date firmware for COMBOX.
Had to wait for over a week, for the USB/AUX cable with Ports from the supplier. Fitted this all in the centre console, and then used the firmware file you sent here, using USB.

The update was successful and now, I am able to see the following, from my android phone, whilst playing via BT.

Track title
Album Name
Artist Name

Just a quick question, has anyone ordered the Trim piece for the USB/AUX port in centre console?
The trim piece for the USB port for the Glove box? Anyone have specific part numbers? On Realoem it shows up as a blanking plate.

Finally, anyone know what type of video files can be played via USB combox?

Last,.why when connecting the Android phone via USB combox it does not play the songs etc?

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks again@Bmwpower530
