Hey, is there anyone out there who's had this problem.. my hood wasn't recyclable from an accident and now i have a steel hood which is too heavy to be held up by the stock shocks.. Does anyone know which part exactly i will need to have this done properly? Anything helps..

Note that if the hood struts are not working properly then they won't assist on lifting the hood up, which is also why you're having trouble opening your hood. I don't think a aftermarket company would make a hood weight a lot more than the original.
