So I am well into upgrading LCI headlights on my 12/2005 550i bi-xenon. I am at the headlight connectors, I have the BMW install pdf BUT both my front 4 pin connectors (x10608 & x10609) are MISSING a 4th wire and there are 2 WS/BL wires (one on the 8 pin connector and one on the 4 pin connector. WHY so anybody?? BMW wiring kit instructions show 12 wires (8 + 4) to cut and install into new 12 wire connectors

 

Here are my pics. First 3 are my headlight connectors. According to bmw wiring instructions for Lci upgrade you remove the 8 and 4 wires and install into the new 12 wire connector BUT my 4 wire connectir only has 3 wires AND then two white/blue wires!

6th pic shows my actual cars headlight wiring diagram per ALLDATA with 3 wites. So what do i need to do?

 

I think you can proceed anyways, only because I had a similar issue, but instead I was missing a wire from the 8 pin , it ended up being just a ground wire, so I just tapped another wire that was ground and it worked. I would proceed ahead with retrofit, and see what issues you have after.
