Any one know if this will retro fit to an 04 530i ?

The stock stick is *horrible* indeed.
And with the M5 knob looks disgusting.

ok so I ordered bothe the e39 shifter and handle in metal , Iw ill report back on the fit

Also as mentioned the M5 i drive is a must add on looks tons better then what we have originally

 

Does the E60 shifter have the shaft inside liek the old e39.
I just recieved the e39 and gonna put it on tomoz but dont recall seeing the inside part of it.
I know on my first post, people say it will fit but not sure any ideas folks?
