Hi, I'm new here. I have searched around a little, but haven't got any answer.
Does anyone here know how i can play DVD movies and music DVD?s in my original screen?
Anyway, this is a great forum with a lot of inspiration for me. Not mutch people that mods E60's in Norway.

My Ride: BMW e60 525IA 12/2003
Hello and welcome to the forum 
You can get a lot of warious interface's on etc. E-bay that make it possible to watch TV & DVD on your 6.5" or 8.8" screen, some of them are even with build in FM transmiter ( sound not so great ) so you can get the sound in throug the radio ( no coding of the car needed ) , else you will have to get in by a AUX kit , and then after coding the car for this option you will get a AUX Audio input option in your I-Drive men? ( Men? where you now have the options . FM / AM / CD )
Also Dension ( Gateway 500 etc. ) makes interfaces for our new BMW's that give thees options + some more ( I-Pod / USB etc. )

Anyone that have experience with this?
The only bad thing i can find about it, is that it have a remote control. I just want to use my I-drive wheel

Try take a look at : www.allinterface.com , thats the type I have , and it let you switch between the DVD /RGB / TV etc, over the I-Drive.

IT COST ME 250 PLUS A SEPARATE DVD PLAYER THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD NO AUX INPUT
SO I DIASABLED THE IDRIVE SOUND AND PUT DVD PLAYER THROUGH IT IT WORKS GREAT
ONLY PROBLEM YOU CAN SWITCH BETWEEN IDRIVE AND 3 INPUTS WITH MENU BUTTON
BUT NO WARNING SOUND FROM ON BOARD STUFF NOT THATS NOT A MAJOR PROBLEM
