Your wait can also get you Sirius with Nav if you wish...

But not in Canada ... Sirius is still not an available option as BMW says they can't guarantee the quality ... I think its just the Canadian government not yet allowing it ...

Are the extra wood pieces for the interior standard now? Can the wood e-brake and shifter be ordered with a new car?

I've only seen it as OEM ...

I believe the DVD system is listed under the individual options for the 5:

I don't think this is available yet, anywhere. I believe BMW will release it eventually.

If it would be available as of today, ICEMAN would definitely have it by now and he does not

Check out page 8 of this .pdf document. I believe this is the option that the BMW's website link posted by firewired talks about.

That's funny, I could have sworn that I saw a rear DVD player in ICEMAN's car? Let me check...

Yeah, ICEMAN has these 2 photos in his gallery:
DVD Player Photo From Front
DVD Player Photo From Side

I got those 2 photos from page 4 of ICEMAN's gallery. It's a shame to learn that this is not an OEM option that's available in the US. I don't generally like the idea of a DVD player in a car; but, I thought this setup in the handrest looked so handsome I was planning to include it in my purchase.

kfarouki,

This is ICEMAN's personal setup and has nothing to do with a BMW OEM option. I am sure ICEMAN will chime in here, but wanted to let you know, the OEM option shown early on in pics (may be a part of the E60.net photo galler/information) looks like an attachment to the back of both seats, and it will take up some leg room. Hopefully, someone will post a pic soon.

I also remember seeing one that was a pull down from the roof of the car. It contained both the DVD and the screen in that setup. I believe this option was the more "official" one.
