tks man... Yes, its a aftermarket unit, from kenwood(i guess!)
Nav. is almost useless here. And, belive in it or not, we are forbiden(by trafic departmant) to use DVD, TV, AND NAV.() while u 're driving.
finally, someone who agrees with me on the uselessness of Nav unless you drive everywhere around the country. i've been in miami my whole life and know where everything is and I don't plan to leave, so nav IMO is useless in my situation...

For example, many times, I'm travelling locally and need to get home. I might know two or three different ways to get there from wherever I am but I want nav to help me decide which way is the best. Other times, I may be in a familiar area but need to find the nearest gas station (or cash machine, or restaurant, etc.) Other times, I might be on a highway (not travelling too far) and I need to know when the next couple rest areas are so I can figure out my "personal range."
There are many more little reasons to use nav in your hometown but these are just a couple. I don't travel in unfamiliar areas often but I use nav all the time and have been for about 5 years now. I finally have it in my wife's car now and it's great -- it truly is one of those things that once you have it, it's hard to go back...
well i say this because im some what the same way. i've never had nav so i have no grounds on knocking it. but i could agree with you on the "once you've had it you can't go without it". even since I had a honda s2000 back in 2000, every car i've had after that MUST have HIDs. just can't be without it.
