I need advice about lowering the car. The E60 looks like this right now with new wheels but non-sport suspension:
My question is: What minimal adjustments do I need in order to lower the car 1.2-1.3 inches while maintaining smooth ride quality and no rubbing? Will just four H&R sport springs suffice and get the job done?
Wheel specs:
OEM166 M6 Offsets
245/35/19 front
275/30/19 rear
General Exclaim UHP's

ANYONE?
for a 1.2 drop, get Eibach Pro Kit springs.
as for the bounce, since you have non-sport, it'll be extra bouncy. You should get some performance shocks to compensate for the bounce. Also it'll help the ride feel more like sport suspension on the BMW.
Good luck.
Where are you from btw? If you are in Cali, a lot of people can help out, if you are in NYC, you can buy my used eibachpro kit springs for real cheap.

ANYONE?
I have a 525i at Eurorev that is non-sport with the exact wheels you have. I talked with Vincent extensively about this subject. I want to lower my car but it will be a daily driven car in which I wanted to sacrifice as little comfort as possible.
After talking to Vincent we decided on Eibach springs. Now this won't drop the car a full 1.3 in like you are looking for, it will more likely end up in my eyes looking like the "sport" package E60's as it will drop it around .8 inches. This ride is apparently though the closest to stock, for me a compromise I was looking for.
Search Eibach pro kit on the forums and you will see a few threads that go into much more detail with pics.
hope this helps.

Hmmm. So you're getting the Eiback spring kit and leaving in the stock struts/shocks, correct>????

Yes,
I'm keeping stock shocks/struts. In researching this on the forums it seems as if this is in the majority and accepted. Now you can always upgrade the shocks but your talking more $$ than I can get into right now. In talking to some forums members Eibach springs/ stock struts/shocks is fine.

Excellent, thats exactly the info I needed. I was very wary of blowing cash on new struts and shocks but just a spring kit I can deal with. Now the hard part is finding an installer in the Chicago area. Its a nightmare to find a good shop at a good price.
