Can someone tell me the reason for the valve on the right tip exhaust, and why the left tip is lighter than the right one? Does it have anything to do with the DPF? I know that the DPF eliminate the exhaust particles due to heat, and will the function of that valve be to increase back pressure, to increase exhaust heat and therefore eliminate the exhaust particles in the DPF?

Does anyone with DPF have aftermarket muffler? Is there any problem so far due that mod?

I don't believe that it has anything to do with the DPF, quad exhausts have been fitted to a number of cars with PFs.

A UK automotive engineer posted that it was there in order to pass the noise regulations, closing the second outlet at the speed points where the noise checks are made.
