I have a 2004 530i with a very, VERY dead battery.

I did a little research. The car requires a 100A 850CCA battery. My local "MIDAS" shop, (very cool guys work there who I've known a while), are selling this battery by Interstate for $155.85 including installation, ($10 labor), that includes a 72 month warranty.

On the flipside, I called my local MotorWerks and asked them. They wanted $335.00. DOUBLE.

Don't go to the stealership!

Yeah, I sometimes wonder how may people take their cars in for the "common" anti-trap error and get charged to do a few flicks of the finger???? That's why I contribute to this site, it paid itself over soooo many times.

Have you ever tried Anderson BMW on Rt 31 and Rt 176 in Crystal Lake? I have started using them for dealer service. They are not nearly as pompous as the guys at MotorWerks.

No, I haven't. I'll give them a shout next time I need service and see what they charge.

My parents live in Algonquin so both were close to me. I just thought Anderson was more professional, MotorWerks was just really expensive.
