So...does the Sprintbooster on a SMG tranny increase clutch wear? I have read this in a couple of places...

Thoughts??

I don't think so, all the sprint booster does is eliminate the lag in the gas pedal. It would most likely have the same wear on the tranny.

+1. But I wonder if you floor it too much, does it have any effect to the trans at all?

what effect would the quaife limited slip differential have and what do you stand to gain?

The tranny will probably break before any difference in driving charactristics show themselves. Unless agressive driving causes tranny slam...
The Auto trannies have a tendancy to go South...
I think the only thing affected by aggressive driving is the clutch.

If u want to preserve your clutch, just make sure it grabs. Drop it HARD!!!! Try not to slip it too much. I dunno how SMG drives tho.

From what I know, SB does not affect the SMG, as long as you use the Auto SB, which has the less aggressive signal amplification, than the manual SB. Search for the thread where they posted the tech. white paper on SB - it covers the SMG issue.

I do not see how a quaife diff can make ANY difference at all on transmission speed by distributing the torque to the wheels that have grip? But that does not affect how the transmission is transfering the torque from the engine to the drive shafts... granted, LSD makes better use of torque, but why would it be any different with the SMG, as opposed to, say, manual or steptronic tranny? how does it affect the SMG performance differently?
